When My Father Comes

When my Father Comes

By JM Perkins

When my father comes,
He will burn away the sea and burn away the sky.
When my father comes,
The dead shall hunger, and thirst again forever.
When my father comes,
The only tools left shall be those for cutting meat, for crushing bone... and we shall all work together.

When my father comes,
Your mouth will be as ash, your eyes as cinder.
When my father comes,
The ten thousand voices will whisper darkness into you.
When my father comes,
You'll see yourself for what you truly are, and that is the most terrible thing my father shall bring.

And when my father comes,
I will smile, and reach up to him.

(I imagine this is the wish fufillment fantasy of a petulant Dark Lordling stuck in a Junior High somewhere, talking smack in the ultimate 'my Dad can beat up your Dad' sense. As always, you should check out TV Tropes for related info.)
